A double chocolate cream trifle with an unctuous donut soaked in a sweet orange flavoured Triple sec syrup. Just delicious!
INGREDIENTS (for 7 verrines):
- 1 jar of Foodieores® Chocolate and Triple sec donuts
- 1 whipped cream (spray)
- 1 piece of chocolate to make shavings
- 1 brick of cream cheese (at room temperature)
- 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1/3 cup of the donut syrup
- 1 cup of 35% cream (very cold)
- 3 tbsp. of icing sugar
- 1 tbsp. of Cocoa Powder
PREPARATION :
Chocolate cream cheese:
- In a 1st large bowl, place the brick of cream cheese cut into small cubes, add the cocoa powder (1/4 cup), sugar (1/4 cup), donut syrup (1/3 cup) and cream (1 cup)
- whip with an electric mixer to obtain a smooth cream
- Set aside in the fridge.
- In a 2nd large bowl, pour a cup of 35% cream, add 3 tbsp. icing sugar and 1 tbsp. of cocoa,
- Using the electric mixer, whip up the chocolate liquid cream
- Set aside in the fridge
Assembling the verrines:
- Pour the chocolate cream cheese up to half the verrine
- Place a Triple sec donut in the middle
- Finish filling with the chocolate whipped cream
- Decorate with whipped cream spray and chocolate shavings
